Scrap Company
Our scrap company provides the means for our clients to get steel mill pricing, less the service fee. Our scrap company is made up of two divisions.
1) Transportation
2) Processing

Shapiro Brothers is one of the few scrap companies in the Saint Louis metro area that has all three major pieces of scrap processing equipment.

We are equipped with a 450 (three-125hp) horsepower shear that can process materials such as I-beam structural shapes, heavy plate, and re-bar to name a few.

We are also equipped with a 24" by 36" variable baler that makes a true three compression bundle with a weight of up to 3000 pounds. Our baler is unique from most of the competetors.

With a third compression ram that is over 36 inches in diameter, our baler makes compressed metals to meet the demands of the steel mill.

Shapiro Brothers also has a 3500 horsepower, computer control shredder with a separation system that automatically separates the non-ferrous material out of the fluff and in less than a minute can pulverize a complete automobile (minus fuel tanks, battery, and mercury switches) into pieces no larger than a tennis ball.
