Shapiro Brothers, Inc., does we not accept
scrap loads containing hazardous waste. Trash, debris,
free-flowing liquids, radioative materials or non-metallic
items will not be accepted without prior approval.
We ask that your scrap loads do not contain any
of the items listed below:

Free-flowing liquids, gas, oil, paint propane,
water, refrigerants, etc.
Hazardous, toxic or radioactive materials of
any kind
PCB-containing materials (ballasts, capacitors,
transformers)
Batteries
Dirt, debris, or trash of any kind
Steel drums without certification of cleaning

Clossed containers under pressure (propane/gas
cylinders, fire extinguishers, aerosol cans, etc.)
These containers can only be accepted if stems
are removed and opened (punctured, drilled, cut)
so that containers are no longer pressurized and
verifiably empty
Computer monitors, keyboards, printers
Ammunition/Ordinance scrap
Mercury switches
